U Zaw Latt

( Myanmar, Age 40, Bachelor of Maths, MBA 2006 )​

Zaw Latt started his first business in 1996 at the age of 22 years old. Myanmar IndoBest Co., Ltd. started with a single product and evolved into diversified business units including the distribution of all MNC’s brands, the country’s biggest convenience storechain, international fashion apparels, mobile and camera equipment. He was also a Managing Director of Family Entertainment Group Co., Ltd. (5Network) the very first pay TV Network in Myanmar. He ran his very first Fashion Business in 2006 by bringing in Bossini (Fashion &Apparel), one of the top Hong Kong brands to Myanmar. Currently Bossini has total 11own stores and consignment 11 stores. In 2008, he started the very first convenience chain stores in Myanmar which had currently total 100 stores in Yangon and Mandalay. The same year, he founded ABCS Co., Ltd (now known as ABC Telecom Co., Ltd) which began operations in telecommunication sectors, civil work, pre-paid card production and distribution with over more than 1,150 of employees.

 He is also a Managing Director of H.I.S Myanmar Travels which is a joint venture company with H.I.S Japan. Furthermore more, he put his efforts into building one of the top private hospitals in Myanmar, Witoria Hospital in 2009 and then sold the business in 2012. He introduced SPRINGFIELD (Fashion & Apparel) and Women’s Secret (LadiesLingerie), a Spanish brand from Grupo Cortefiel, in 2011 to Myanmar and now there are currently 4 stores in Yangon’s busiest shopping malls. In 2015, he founded Piti Chan Thar Co., Ltd. a group of retail outlet stores in aimed at the rural market. Piti Chan Thar outlet currently covers more than 800 outlets in rural cities.

In the same year he also began heading up operations on ABC Content Solution Co., Ltd. which focuses on creating Myanmar video content, showing on 4 platforms such as TV Channel, mobile application, Facebook and YouTube. Myanmar Indo Best Co., Ltd. started expanding and developing OEM products in 2015 with FMCG products including diapers, wet tissue, sanitary napkins and mosquito coils.

He and his wife founded Bella Cosmetic in late 2016 and it was quickly grew into the no.1 cosmetic brand in Myanmar in just after 6 months of launching. One of his medical company named ABC Medical Supply Co., Ltd. was founded in 2015 and they had partner with General Electric in 2016 as an exclusive distributor for

ultrasound equipment into Myanmar. He is also holding a position as a Director in Construction, Housing an Infrastructure Development Bank in 2016.He is currently holding a position as Group Chairman of ABC-MIB Group of Companies. All of his businesses are run by professional CEOs and now he only involved in investment, planning and strategic decisions.

As part of his corporate social responsibilities, U Zaw Latt chairs the Pann Thee Foundation. Founded in 2011, the foundation emphasis in social and charitable work in 3 sectors: Education, Health and Infrastructure for monastic and nunnery schools. In education, Pann Thee Foundation has provided the salaries for teachers of total 88 from monastic and nunnery schools. In contribution to health, Pan Thee Foundation has already provided Hepatitis B vaccinations to more than 88,031 less privileged children nationwide. In Education infrastructure, Pann Thee Foundation had helped built total of 114 schools which are most needed.

He is also a member of Young President Organization (YPO) and the founding member of YPO’s Yangon Chapter.
